The Archbishops of Canterbury and York have thanked the Revd Canon Phil Potter for all the important work he has done as Archbishops' Missioner and Fresh Expressions Team Leader now that his role has come to an end. Phil has developed the Fresh Expressions network such that this exciting area of ministry is now part of the life blood for the Church of England.

In their letter, the Archbishops wrote: “You have brought your many gifts, experience and integrity to the role and we believe this has enabled the hundreds of Fresh Expressions to take their place as an essential gift and resource of the church. In our minds there are very few people who could have done this.”

Phil has worked in this role since 2014 and has worked tirelessly and creatively in building up the Fresh Expressions network and developing relationship between all those involved in the area of re-imagining church life.
