Learn about about our strategic partnerships with several Provinces around the Communion.

The Anglican Communion Fund is working to develop Strategic Partnerships with several Provinces, the aim of which is to help strengthen the Provincial Church so that it can be better equipped to carry out the ministry God has called it to.

These are multi-year funding agreements at a higher level of funding than a typical grant, to enable the Provinces to plan with a greater level of certainty.

The ACF supports the Primate (spiritual leader of the province), together with their House of Bishops and other clergy and lay leadership, to develop and implement their plans.

The first of these partnerships are in place in Sudan and Tanzania. In Tanzania, the Mothers’ Union is working to develop Church and Community Mobilisation Programmes (CCMP) throughout the entire province which also incorporate a savings and loan element.

We are also working on developing partnerships with provinces of Pakistan and Congo and the Internal Province of West Africa.
