The Archbishop of Canterbury will join pilgrims in procession to Canterbury Cathedral on Sunday.

Archbishop Justin will walk the final mile with the group – some of whom will have walked 44 miles over the previous week – before preaching at a special Pilgrimage Service at the Cathedral.

The events, which will celebrate the ancient tradition of pilgrimage to Canterbury Cathedral, also mark the official launch of the Green Pilgrimage Network (GPN) Canterbury Partnership.

The GPN, which Canterbury diocese joined last year, is a global network of pilgrim cities and sacred sites whose vision is that pilgrims, and the places that host them, will become models of care for the environment.
