‘Speaking on BBC Radio Five Live recently the Archbishop said, “We have had to learn in the Church that you talk about survivors and victims, that they must come first.”

In the interview with the Big Issue, given last month, prior to the election, The Archbishop was asked to comment on the Royal Family in general, rather than any individual. In response, the Archbishop highlighted the dedicated service of the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh (which was cut from his answer as printed) and then went on to outline how, in general, the Royal Family are a gift to the nation. At no time did he speak about any other individual members of the family.’
