A message from the Archbishops of Canterbury and York on LGBT+ History Month
LGBT history month

Across the United Kingdom, for a number of years, February has been associated with LGBT+ History Month and many throughout our parishes, up and down the country will be marking this.

LGBT+ history month is about acknowledging and learning from past hurt, and building a society where LGBT people can and must live their lives free from hate and violence. We welcome this observation of the place and contribution of LGBT people in our society and in our church, and assure people of our prayers.
