Archbishop Justin Welby and Cardinal Vincent Nichols discussed prayer and evangelism and took questions from the public during a Facebook Live broadcast from Lambeth Palace today.
The Archbishop and the Cardinal invited viewers to join them live on the social media site during one of their regular meetings, which today included talking about the recent Thy Kingdom Come week of prayer across the Church of England.
Roman Catholic bishops in England and Wales asked Roman Catholic parishes to join in the week of prayer, which was prompted by a call by the Archbishops of Canterbury and York for churches across England to pray for all Christians to have fresh confidence and joy to share the Gospel.
During the live chat the two church leaders answered questions from viewers on topics including shared mission between Anglicans and Catholics, and how to reach out to persecuted Christians around the world.
Archbishop Justin Welby, who has 120K followers on Facebook around the world, recently held his first live Bible study on the website, which nearly 900K people have watched.
