Speaking in Lusaka today as the Anglican Consulative meeting drew to a close, Archbishop Justin said: "I believe ACC-16 achieved its objective of looking carefully at what it means to be a disciple in a world of great difference and diversity.

"One of the high points for me was the Eucharist outside the Cathedral of the Holy Cross on 10 April. It was a joyful celebration that summed up most of what the church is about: the sense that, in encountering Christ, we are strengthened, even in difficult times and difficult places, to live more truly as ‘a Jesus people’, as the Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church of the United States describes the church."

Archbishop Justin went on to say that the new Standing Committee of the ACC, elected earlier today, included "a beautifully diverse group of people from across the Anglican Communion".
