Archbishop Justin gives thanks after Abp Ignatius Kattey released
Sunday 15th September 2013Archbishop Justin today gave thanks following the safe release of Nigerian archbishop Ignatius Kattey, who was freed after being kidnapped more than a week ago
Last week Archbishop Justin urged the church to pray for Archbishop Kattey, who was seized on Friday 6th September near his residence in the southern city of Port Harcourt.
Archbishop Kattey was released without a ransom on Saturday evening near Port Harcourt, police said. He was in a stable condition.
The day before, Archbishop Justin had prayed to God to 'uphold [Abp Kattey] in courage and faith' and 'bring him again to be with his family and friends in joy and freedom'.
