The Archbishop of Canterbury will address thousands of international Christian leaders in London on Monday next week.

Archbishop Justin will speak on the opening morning of the annual HTB leadership conference, which returns to the Royal Albert Hall for the second year running.

The two-day event, which will be live streamed, will bring together 5,500 Christian leaders from 89 countries.

Attendees will include a Roman Catholic cardinal, four other Catholic archbishops and bishops, 21 Anglican archbishops and bishops, and senior Orthodox, Methodist, Baptist, Presbyterian and Pentecostal leaders.

There will be four seminar streams – Church, Culture, Community and Commerce – which will be addressed by dozens of guest speakers who are leaders in their field.

Speakers include Bill Hybels, Senior Pastor of Willow Creek Community Church in Chicago; Cardinal Christoph Schonborn, Archbishop of Vienna; and Chris Hyman, chief executive of the Serco group.

HTB, a large Anglican church in central London, founded the Alpha course, which is now running in 169 countries.

This year the HTB leadership conference, hosted by HTB Vicar Nicky Gumbel, coincides with the biannual Alpha leadership week, which brings Alpha course leaders from around the world to London.

Last year HTB's leadership conference featured speakers including former prime minister Tony Blair, the Bishop of London and Rick Warren, author of The Purpose Driven Life.
