Christian Unions - An Article for the Times Higher Education Supplement
The following is the text of an article written by the Archbishop for the Times Higher Education Supplement, which was published on 8th December 2006. It followed some coverage in the press about sanctions being placed on some Christian unions by student unions at certain colleges and universities. In addressing the root causes of these disagreements, the Archbishop says: "the danger in issuing sanctions against a body whose views you disapprove of is that it looks like a fear of open argument."

Both Crosses and Veils Must be Allowed - Times Article
The following is an article written by the Archbishop on the issue of the public expression of religious belief, especially in the context of his visit to China. It followed media coverage of two separate but high profile UK cases involving a Christian employee protesting her right to wear a cross on a necklace, and a Muslim wishing to wear a veil, both whilst at work. The article appeared in the Times newspaper on 27th October 2006.

Assisted Dying - Joint Faith Leaders Letter to The Times
The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams, together with the Cardinal Archbishop of Westminster, Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor and the Chief Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregations of the Commonwealth, Dr Jonathan Sacks, signed a letter to The Times [Friday 12th May 2006] raising their concerns at proposed legislation to allow assisted dying for the terminally ill in the United Kingdom.
