Dee's plaque, a mosaic of the Michael Ramsey Prize logo, will be presented to the winning author, along with a cheque for £15,000 at a Gala lunch at the Guardian Hay Festival on 28 May 2009, in the presence of Archbishop Desmond Tutu. The plaque, along with works by Dee and other artists will be on display at the Bowie Gallery at the Hay Festival.

'I felt very honoured when Archbishop Rowan asked me to create an artwork specially for his Prize and I am thrilled about meeting two Archbishops on the same day at the presentation on 28 May!' says Dee.

An equally intricate mosaic plaque by Dee hangs in the Archbishop's home at Lambeth Palace. It was presented to the Archbishop when he came to unveil the mosaic triptych of St David in the chapel at Monmouth School in 2007.

Dee has also created hand-made commemorative mugs decorated with the Michael Ramsey Prize design which will be presented to the judges and shortlisted authors as a memento of the occasion.
